Some final conclusions

We have combined couple of conclusions and recommendations to NOMO that they should consider when entering the jeans business in Sweden;

  • Currently many of the potential customers have stated that the first impression of the store is not welcoming enough. Therefore, the company should consider making the stores more comfortable for customers. For example, they could start serving coffee for customers or otherwise try to attract people to stop by to the store. The main idea would be making shopping the jeans a uniquely enjoyable and cosy experience

  • Feedback that we got from our class mates was that sex sells jeans especially among younger Swedish people and that should not be totally forgotten in marketing. At least company needs to take into account that people want to look good in their jeans

  • NOMO should emphasize the durability, responsibility and quality of their product in their marketing

  • Technology and innovation aspects could be displayed in marketing to achieve more interest especially from men customers

  • The marketing activities targeting men should highlight the easiness and speed of service. This would facilitate reaching the busy men who do not have plenty of time for shopping or men who do not like to shop

  • According to our survey also younger target group (20-25 years olds) are interested in NOMO and their products. The advantage of this target group is that they are very easy to reach through social media

  • In Sweden the main competitors are Nudie Jeans, Acne and Cheap Monday (the last in lower price category). In Sweden, brand is an important part of the decision making process for buying

  • Guerrilla marketing is an excellent technique to reach attention and visibility for brand with small resources. One of the possible marketing stunts in Sweden could be Tjejmilen that is a running event in Stockholm for women. Customers and employees would be encouraged to run the race in running pants with NOMO’s logo and slogan that look like jeans.
